Summer is coming and this time of year always brings increased excitement over warm weather and sunny days, finally being able to get outside, more activities, and longer days to enjoy it all.  Unfortunately this also usually means added stress from all the extra activities.

Keep your energy moving so you can go with the flow this summer with Jennifer Reinhofer. Mini Reiki sessions last about 30 minutes and are $30. Sessions are offered every other Tuesday beginning May 30th, times are from 12pm to 4pm. Call 630-232-6300 with any questions or to schedule an appointment. Walk ins encouraged.

Reiki is the Japanese name for the universal life force energy that flows through and around us.  Reiki healing is an ancient hands on method that works as an effective healing and balancing force for our entire being: spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.

The human body’s energy system is in constant communication with everything around us.  This energy system is comprised of the chakras, along with the aura, which are responsible for processing and transmitting energy to and from the world around us on a subtle level.  Energy is then directed into the physical body from the chakras through the meridian system.  When we feel stress, everything within us constricts.  Muscles, arteries, blood vessels, and energy.  This constriction hinders the natural flow of life energy.  If our life force energy is constricted, we are more likely to get sick, and if it is flowing freely, we are better able to maintain our health and well-being.

Using ancient healing symbols, the Reiki practitioner channels this Universal life force energy, allowing it to flow where it is needed to bring the energy centers back into alignment.  During a session, the practitioner uses light touch on or over the body.  One of the greatest benefits of Reiki is stress reduction and relaxation, which triggers the body’s natural healing abilities, the immune system, it aids in better sleep, and improves and maintains health.

Jennifer Reinhofer works privately with clients and is a registered Yoga Teacher, a Reiki Master Teacher, and a Shamanic Practitioner.  She is currently apprenticing in the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition of Cross-Cultural Shamanic Arts, which blends traditional shamanic arts of Peru and the wisdom of its heritage with the needs of the present day.
