October 10th is our first Goddess Girl night!
Girls 7-17 will learn to embrace their feminine energy and receive a special herbal foot bath and other delightful treats during this Pink Tent Event!
We want to teach young girls to love who they are and treat them like Goddess for a night. We’ll talk about changes to their bodies & ways to nourish themselves as well as some herb remedies to give them comfort. The girls will fill a sleep pillow and Peaceful Parlour will raffle off a Motherwort tincture to one of the adults. Motherwort is a wonderful herbal ally to girls in puberty. The inner circle of girls will be supported by an outer circle of women. $10 per girl, adults free. Bring 2 girls for $15 (with advance RSVP by Sept 30th). Space is limited, 630-232-6300. The event is from 6pm to 8pm.
A moon lodge or red tent was usually reserved for women who already were already having a menstrual flow. We want to embrace the younger girls and those already in puberty and give them information about what to expect emotionally, spiritually as well as physically. We’ll talk about ways they can honor themselves like lighting a red candle or wearing a special bracelet during their moon time. This should be a time to rejoice and love that they are emerging into womanhood. They can ask questions in confidence, without judgement and receive information from one or a number of mature women that are there to support the girls.
