Event: Make an Echinacea Tincture and Late Night Equinox Shopping

Sep
14

Shari with Peaceful Parlour will lead participants through the process of making an herbal tincture. On this occasion, we’ll be using dried Echinacea angustifolia root. In general, it is recommended that fresh plant material be used in making herbal tinctures. However; dried roots or berries can be used and the herbal medicine is effective. We’ll also dig some roots in the terrace garden as a demonstration. The real medicine making with fresh roots is in late November or early December.

The Make an herbal remedy class is from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and the fee is $18. Keep in mind the Echinacea tincture made on this night should sit for a year before it’s used. Herbalists are known for not following the rules and this remedy can be used after several months if the need arises.

We are staying open late so customers can visit us and shop at their convenience. Come by and see what’s new, stock up on supplies for your equinox gathering or personal celebration and pick up tea for the fall season.
