Wednesday, August 3rd at 6pm - Peaceful Parlour to host the Fox Valley Sustainability Meetup Group! Bring your favorite bath, body, beauty product or home cleaning product for a free product critique. Shari Ralish of Peaceful Parlour will teach you how to read a label so you can determine if the products you are using in and around your body & home are safe & free of harmful chemicals.
August 6th & 7th - World of Faeries Festival in Elgin. We are happy to be accepted for this enchanted event. The shop in Geneva will be open too!
Monday, August 8th from 6.30 to 8.30 pm. Make your own Raw Kombucha with Mary's Wholesome Living! Mary will bring all of the ingredients and equipment necessary to make a one gallon size of Kombucha Tea. This delicious tea is known to have energizing and cleansing properties. The cost is $35 and participants are asked to bring a one gallon jug, preferably glass with a a spigot. Register and pre-pay in full by August 1st and receive a free personal size Gingerbeer which can be used to flavor the Kombucha.
Friday, August 26th & Friday, September 23rd from 6pm to 9pm, Live Music on our Lawn - Join us on the terraced lawn of Peaceful Parlour while you enjoy the soothing sounds of acoustic guitar & keyboards with Sharon Hartley. We may have a poetry reading during her break so check back for details!

Community Recycling at Peaceful Parlour! We will gladly accept your natural wine corks, plastic PVC gift cards and credit/debit cards (cut em up as small as you want, they get shredded anyway), keys, broken wax crayons and crocs shoes for recycling! We also have a free book swap! Stop in to learn how these items get recycled, who benefits and keep them out of landfills.
Cork Floor material for sale! During the remodeling to open Peaceful Parlour, we uncovered the original tile floor in our space; however, we already purchased cork floor material. Call, email or stop in for more details.
