About the Owner
Since College I knew that I wold own a business one day. For the last twenty years, I figutred it would be in the construction management industry. More recently, those business dreams changed course with some thankful assistance due to the recession, the birth of a son and my own desire to follow a dream.
My love of nature was nurtured spending time with grandmother and being a Girl Scout. During a break of working in the construction industry, I worked at an independent health food store in Chicago and rode my bike to work. As my life slowed down, I was able to pursue personal interests like studying medicinal herbs and their therapeutic properties. After my son was born, I became more aware of the toxins we are all exposed to on a daily basis and really started to focus on every aspect of daily living and how it affected our health and health of the environment.
Peaceful Parlour was born out of my desire to live more in tune with nature, get back to basics, avoid toxins and disposable plastic, live more simply and be a part of a community. I am delighted to have found this home in Geneva.
